Woah! Those are cool! I wish I had those throughout my garden! They are so beautiful!
They remind me of a Celebration Day that they have in Europe. In Germany it is called Martinmas the children make lanterns and sing a song called Laterne, Laterne (Lantern, Lantern). Children and their whānau walk in groups and visit homes and sing the Lantern song and get sweeties.
In the town that Aroha's Papa grew up in, they have a big community bonfire tended to by the local firefighter volunteers, and everyone in the community comes together and celebrates with food and dance.
